Republic Services collection changes for Eagle Customers
Republic Services has made a temporary change to its trash collection schedule in light of the coronavirus. Residential collection now begins at 6 a.m. so that Republic Services can stagger crew start times and keep a healthy distance between employees. Bulky item and appliance collection will be suspended as of Monday, March 30, 2020. This is in response to early research indicating COVID-19 surface viability up to 72 hours on metals, plastic, and some paper. The household hazardous waste mobile collection program is not an essential service and has been suspended at this time. The next collection scheduled for April 8, 2020, will be cancelled and normal operations for this program should resume before the next quarterly collection scheduled for July 8, 2020. If you have questions you can call Republic Services at 208-345-1265. Edit: This post previously stated that collection would end by 9 a.m. This was incorrect so it has been removed from the post.
