Dear Villas Homeowners,

It has been brought to the attention of the Board that several homeowners are storing/placing a variety of miscellaneous items around the exterior of their homes/property, including building materials/wood, garden/lawn equipment, tools, broken or unused appliances (or parts), trash/debris, etc.

In this regard, your attention is invited to Sections 4.6, 4.12, and 4.13 of the Banbury Meadows CC&R’s, which preclude the placement or storage of such items on the exterior of our homes.  We must therefore ask each homeowner (using the exterior of their homes for storage) to remove these items/materials from their properties and store them in either their garage or an off-site commercial storage facility.

After extensive discussions and consideration by the Villas Board, a motion was recently passed at our last Board Meeting to give homeowners 30 days to remove and/or relocate the items addressed above.  Therefore, beginning on 1 May 2024, homeowners failing to take this corrective action will be issued formal notices directing their compliance with a set deadline for compliance.

Exterior Storage Sheds or Structures:  For your information, and as restated/reconfirmed during the Main HOA’s Annual General Membership Meeting (held on 20 March), storage sheds or similar structures are not permitted within the Banbury Meadows HOA.  This of course also includes the Villas Community.  There is one possible exception to the policy – – a storage structure to be built onto the exterior of an existing home, using the same materials, colors, etc., can be requested and considered under the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) process.  This exception is very difficult to consider or approve within the Villas Community due to the limited space between our homes and properties.

On behalf of our Association, and your neighbors, we want to thank all of our homeowners for following the guidance provided above (and by our CC&R’s), which will continue to support our efforts to maintain the appearance of our community at a high standard.

If you have any questions or need further details concerning this notice, please contact our Association Manager, Jean Cariaga, DSI at:  jean@dev-services.com or the Villas Board: villashoabbm@gmail.com.

Thank you.
