Here are the results of the Board Meeting, topics & discussions.
Mark Bottles who owns the property which abuts the south corner of the Colchester entrance came before the Board with a representative from the Eagle Fire Department, the potential buyer of his property. They discussed the impact to the surrounding neighbors and assured us that responder sirens would not be turned on until they are on Eagle Road. The Board agreed to bring this to the Association at the Annual Meeting and get back to Mark Bottles with the consensus of the neighborhood.
Melanie Gorczyca, Chairman of the Social Committee, reported plans to have four neighborhood social venues this year. Melanie reported that her greatest obstacle is the cost to rent space for these venues. The Board agreed to subsidize some of the up-front costs on a trial basis depending on the neighborhood support and attendance.
HOA Annual Meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Banbury Club House. Dinner and social at 6pm and meeting to start at 7pm.
ARC – on going discussion regarding portable basketball hoops. The Board finally agreed that both permanent and temporary hoops can now be left out year-round as long as the installation and placement has been approved by the ARC.
Entrance Landscape Enhancements – The Board approved the design and bid submitted by Stone Landscaping to add trees, shrubs and annual color to both entrance medians as well as the north Colchester entrance hillside.
Treasurer’s Report as of 12/31/2010: Reserve Account Balance $41,341.47. Operating Checking Balance $90,331.61. The Board agreed to sweep the Year End Operating Account balance into the Reserve Account to fund upcoming common area repairs, maintenance and improvements identified by the 30 year Reserve Study.
