At the annual meeting March 31, homeowners passed an amendment to the By-Laws providing for staggered two year terms for board members.
The By-Laws of Banbury Meadows Homeowners’ Association require the election of all five board members every year. Although at the last annual meeting a proposal for staggered three year terms was defeated, some residents felt the need for some continuity on the board to provide institutional memory. At the annual meeting March 31, prior to the election of board members, homeowners passed an amendment to the By-Laws providing for staggered two year terms.
Article IV. Section 2 of the By-Laws now reads: ‘Term of Office: Each term shall be for a period of two years. At the annual meeting when this provision is adopted, the five members receiving the most votes shall be elected to the Board of Directors. The three members receiving the most votes shall be elected to two year terms. The remaining two elected members shall be elected to one year terms. In subsequent Board of Directors elections, the members elected who are replacing those whose terms have expired shall be elected for two year terms.’
Lyle Capstick, Suzanne Craig and Trish Trader were elected for two year terms. Terry Bowman and Robere Kazadi were elected to one year terms.
